 Few people would contest 2020 has been an easy year. We have undergone almost all the disasters a person could think of: we have gone from pandemics to explosions in Turkey. This year has shaken our lives and I would like to look back to the beginning of this year and analyze what has happened since then. January: in January, we were already off to a rough start. Memes of World War II started to spread across the Internet on account of the tweets Donald Trump would write. For weeks, this rumor kept going until it vanished a few weeks later. Nonetheless, it was not the only issue I could highlight. The Australian fires destroyed thousands of hectares, bringing down many houses and habitats where lots of animals used to live. The number of animals that died during the fire was uncountable and, throughout all the weeks animals and Australians had to go through this suffering, people from all over the world, like us, were watching these events on the TV.  Having a member of your close family abroad is not an easy situation for anyone. It makes everything different: you do not see them anymore whenever you feel like, you can only talk to them with a mobile phone, you cannot hug them… In my case, my older sister has been living in the USA for two years with her husband.  Watching your older sister move out of your life in such a short period of time is something that I had to process. Since I was born, she has been my role model. I have always looked up to her, yet, I guess at some point she had to grow out and I had to forcibly change into being the only daughter in my house and having to have a lot of alone time at home.   Getting my driving license has been, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding and entertaining experiences of the last months. I wasn’t aware of how much effort you have to put in order to finally be able to drive. Nonetheless, everything I have had to go through has been worthwhile. My journey began in September, the second week of it. I went to ask for information to Ayala, a driving school near my home, and the very same evening I signed all the papers needed to begin the theory sessions. Even though I wanted to attend the lessons in the morning, they were no more places available, as there are restrictions regarding the seats they can offer so that they comply with the covid procedures.
